Meet our talented and diverse team of humans who make Rodrozen Design + Build the interior design business it is today.

Mason is our Rodrozen star and mascot. Mason is a nine-year-old Siberian husky. Known for being a tad stubborn at times and somewhat independent, he also loves hanging out with his Rodrozen wolf pack, which includes Shimbha and Tiko.

There is a reason Mason sits at the top, you keep Mason happy, and then Derick is happy.

Mason is well known in the Coal Harbour neighbourhood and can often be seen sleeping in our showroom window or out and about on walks.

Meet Derick, the heart and creative director of Rodrozen Design + Build. Derick began his interior design career with a start in the high-end hospitality industry, followed by a few years under a Vancouver Interior Design company.

This year marks Derick's 20th year in this creative and demanding industry. These years of experience allow Derick to know what works and what does not when it comes to interior design and building.

Derick is also Mason's buttler and personal trainer, and it's fair to say the two are inseparable. Derick is often found on the phone walking around Coal Harbour with Mason in tow or on a job site.

Steven is our lead on all fronts regarding the direction and drive of Rodrozen Design + Build. Coming from a non-profit management and political background, Steven covers everything from strategic direction and financial management to managing Mason's treats allocation.

Steven has worked alongside Derick for 15 years in the history of Rodrozen Design + Build, ever since the business was incorporated in 2007.

He is often found head-deep in an email, ensuring that the next steps in a project are ready to go, communicating with homeowners and clients, and ensuring the office is humming with the right vibes.

Rose is our amazing interior designer with expertise in space planning, 3D modelling, and permit application. Her passion for design is rooted in the belief that your space should bring joy and harmony. Rose listens to your vision and infuses those elements into authentic, welcoming designs.

With a Diploma in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Vancouver, Rose's international experiences have enriched her knowledge of diverse design styles, with a particular interest in European and Middle Eastern styles. Her holistic approach ensures that each space integrates beautifully with its surroundings, and she takes pride in the meaningful difference her designs make in her clients' lives.

If you want to hear a diverse office of accents, look no further than Matt, who comes from the furthest point from Vancouver, Perth Australia!

Matt is our live-in legend, a project supervisor and a site manager and can be found anywhere between the office and on-site helping finish a job. Matt knows a thing or two about projects, having taken on similar roles in both the UK and Australia, managing multi-home development projects.

Matt is responsible for assembling our project budgets and then following these through to the building site, where he ensures our projects run on time.

Andy hails from a little corner of the South Pacific - New Zealand. Primarily he is responsible for the marketing activities as a one-man band. Everything from emails, videos, photography, website design, social media, you name it.

On top of this, he also dives his hand into administration tasks, homeowner communication and anything else that needs support in the showroom. Sometimes, he can be seen on-site helping Matt when needed; something about the Kiwi DIY attitude?

Andy loves it anytime a New Zealand product is seen in a project, such as wood flooring and carpet from NZ wool and appreciates sustainable products, such as BC wood in a home.

Salar is passionate about interior design, having shown an interest from a very young age when he would constantly redecorate and rearrange furniture, displaying his innate creativity from a young age.

Salar graduated with a Diploma in Interior Design from VCAD in 2022, in which he was recognized with the prestigious Award of Excellence in Interior Design.

Salar dreams of having his own interior design business one day, and aside from creating unique interior designs, he is also studying for a Bachelor of Business Administration.

Salar loves design styles characterized by minimalism and dark colours to evoke a moody ambiance.

Our counter of the codes, the keeper of the funds, the one who keeps us all accountable when it comes to the cash. Justin is our bookkeeper who keeps us all on track regarding projects. Often found busy beavering away, Justin works closely with Steven to ensure we keep track of all our invoices.

Eoin is our resident green-fingered landscaper. He is often seen in the wild habitats of gardens, chatting away with his lyrical accent. Having gained an interest in gardening in his home country of Northern Ireland, Eoin has gone on to learn more about plants and their synergistic interactions with their environment.

Eoin loves creating low-maintenance green spaces both inside and outside, and he combines his love of landscaping with homeowners' wants and needs when it comes to having a beautiful Vancouver garden.
